Privacy Policy — Nubi

This Privacy Policy describes how Nubi ("the App"), developed by 99UNO, collects, uses and protects user information. Nubi is an illustrated-stories app for kids aged 3 to 6; it is designed to be used by an adult (parent or guardian) together with the child, and accounts belong to adults.

1. Information we collect

Information the user provides (only if they create an account):

Name and email address: to create and maintain the account.
Password: stored hashed. Never in plain text.

Information collected automatically (minimal):

Purchases and access: which stories, packs or membership you bought, in order to give you access.
Preferences: chosen language and downloaded books (saved on your device for offline reading).
Reading activity (anonymous): minimal events —story identifier, event type (open, finish or download), language and date— to understand catalog usage in aggregate and improve it. They do not include your name, your email or device identifiers.
We do not collect location, contacts, browsing history or advertising identifiers.

Microphone and audio recordings:

Narrations in your voice: the app lets an adult record their voice narrating the stories. These recordings are stored only on your device: they are not uploaded to our servers nor shared with third parties. You can delete them whenever you want from the app.
Microphone access is used only for this feature and you can revoke it at any time from your system settings.

2. How we use the information

Create and maintain your account and sign-in.
Give you access to the stories, packs or membership you purchased.
Send you essential operational emails (for example, resetting your password).
Keep the service secure and running.

We do not show ads, we do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

3. Payments

Purchases (stories, packs and membership) are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We neither see nor store your card details. The membership is an auto-renewing subscription that you manage from the store.

4. Who we share data with

We work with providers that process data on our behalf, only as needed for the service: database provider (storage of accounts and access), image storage (delivery of the illustrations) and email provider (sending operational emails such as password resets). We do not share data with third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Storage and security

Data is stored on secure servers, with encrypted connections and hashed passwords. No system is 100% foolproof, but we work to minimize risks.

6. Minors

Nubi's content is suitable for children and includes no advertising or uncontrolled external links. Nubi does not request personal data from children. Accounts belong to adults. We comply with the principles for protecting children's data (for example, COPPA in the U.S. and the GDPR in the EU).

7. Account deletion

You can delete your account and all its associated data from the app (Settings → Delete my profile) or by writing to [email protected]. More details at Delete account.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; we'll publish the new version here and, if the change is significant, we'll let you know.
